Evocazione della rabbia e distorsione temporale hanno un'influenza reciproca?


Come concepiamo il tempo? Siamo noi che ci muoviamo attraverso il tempo o è il tempo che si sposta verso di noi?
Si può fare la prova di come noi concepiamo inconsciamente il tempo: il giorno delle settimana di una riunione è cambiato; era originariamente prevista per mercoledì, ma è stata spostata in avanti di due giorni. Se credete che sia stata spostata a venerdì, siete una persona che pensa di spostarsi attraverso il tempo; se ritenete che la riunione ora sia di lunedì, allora pensate che sia il tempo a venire verso di voi.

Secondo David Hauser, le persone con un temperamento aggressivo sono più propense a pensare di muoversi attraverso il tempo. Inoltre, i pensieri aggressivi possono modificare il modo in cui concepiamo il tempo e, viceversa, pensare di camminare attraverso il tempo può evocare rabbia.
Secondo il ricercatore i suoi studi sostengono le teorie della cognizione incarnata perchè mostrano che concetti astratti che condividono un dominio percettivo possono influenzarsi reciprocamente e in modo prevedibile.

Questi studi sono molto utili per la psicoterapia ipnotica.
